Are gift card affiliate programs good?

Someone I used to live next door to used to make a lot of money from them. He showed me some of his monthly income from them and it was always over $2000 US/Euro. That was 2 or 2 1/2 years ago though so I don't know if they are still that good. It probably depends on your marketing skills too.

I have seen some programs for these and was wondering myself if they would be any good to earn from or not. I figured that around certain holidays they would probably do some good sales but I don't know about other times.

They might do nicely if you can find some that are in whatever niche you are working in and not use just random gift card programs.

I think that marketing gift cards is a great idea if you can find the right people to get your promotions seen by. These days everyone would rather buy a gift car for someone instead of going out and buying something for them because it's just a lot easier.

You are right there. It's just the finding them part that might not be as easy as I hope.

I recently saw a blog post about Amazon gift cards that people were selling through their affiliate program and it said that 2 of the people were making a lot of money from those. One was making $10,000 and another was making $5,000 each month.

Excuse my French but, DAMN! That's a good income from just gift cards. I wouldn't mind getting something like that happening for some of my things.

I was reading some more on them on some blog posts I found about them in Google and it said that you have to look at the terms closely because some you will not get any commissions if the person does not buy any of them right then. I guess their affiliate cookie is very short.

I didn't know that. If I ever try these types of things I will check the cookie length.

I have been doing that but it can be harder than you would think.

I am little bit curious too, of what gift cards are for? I know it used for some kind of spending tool too right? Or did i get the idea wrong? As far as I know, are these like the gift cards we get from the common stores, like Starbucks? You can spend it like cash but only limits on that store, is that right? Please enlighten me further.

I think they are good. They attract more people and people like gift cards nowadays. Lots of companies have gift card affiliate program. I wont name them anymore. Its your choice to choose whether you'll do it anyways. I said my part.

There are a lot of these gift card campaigns that networks have but I do not understand if they really offer value to the prospect as most of these campaigns just need you to enter the email address if I am not wrong. Such campaigns usually work well during the holiday season.

I was thinking about trying these during the holiday season a couple months ago but got busy with other things. I will probably try them next holiday season for sure.
