Can I use my email list in a different niche?

An email list is only effective in the niche it is. Targeting your subscribers with different offers will not benefit you and not your subscribers. They might also unsubscribe from your list, which will not be any good for you. It is better to stick with offers within the niche that your list has been acquired for.
Thanks, that's probably what I am going to wind up doing because I don't want to get people unsubscribing.

You can use it if the new niche you want to use it for is similar to the original one but if it is too different then it will probably be a waste of time.

Like if the list was made for cooking and then you wanted to use it in a sports niche then you will probably just be wasting time and get a lot of people wanting to unsubscribe.

The two niches are not that different and would have a lot of the same types of people in them, women. I'll probably just not do it or maybe just try it out with a small percentage of the list and see what happens. I haven't decided yet.

Cause you sending email without targeting peoples..
Suppose you have a bicycle and you are offering a man who want to buy motorcycle.. :D
That's true. I just didn't know if getting a cheap email list was even worth the time and bother.

The people subscribed to your list by choice and if you did not say what niche the list was for then I think it is ok. Maybe you will get some unsubscribers but you can test with a small part first.

It was just a subscribe form with nothing stated about what it was for specifically. I don't know now if I am going to try this but if I do I will probably test it out with a small portion and see what happens then make the decision based on the results if I want to do the entire list or not.

If it's your list and you didn't have specific terms you gave when the people signed up for what the mails would be for then I say do it.

If the emails were gathered in a legitimate way then I don't see any problems using them in a different niche. even if they weren't I don't think it would really matter.

Yes it's a list I have built and there were no specific terms at all.

Of course but if your list email is different with niche which you are wanting promote , i think it will not effective.
You think that I shouldn't do it then?

as long as you are not violating any kind of privacy policy that you may have stipulated then I wouldn't think there would be any problem with doing this other than maybe not having the best success rate.

As long as you think you are not going to make everyone on your list mad by sending them emails for something they didn't signup for then go ahead and do it.

No, I made no stipulations about the niche or anything else that could be a problem with that.

I don't think it would make anyone mad but you never know. Some people are touchy about things.

Then maybe trying it out on a small part of your list to see what will happen is a good idea.
That is what I might end up doing. I have not had a chance to try it yet myself.

Then you should be good to go. You might lose a couple of subscribers but I doubt that it will be many if any at all.
That's what I am hoping for. :D

Sounds like a plan. I don't know how big your list is but maybe start with 100 and see what happens. That way you can kind of get a percentage ratio of what if anything happens.

It has a little less than 500 right now I think. I had a lot of signups in spurts here and there but there have not been a lot of them lately.
