what do you think of .blog domains?

Oh I am sure that they will get used to them but just how long it will take is the question.

I am thinking about using one of them to start a secondary blog that would be a side project that will take more time to get going so if it takes a little longer to get good traffic then that is fine.

You can also try to compare how good the .blog domain does versus whatever your other blog is using to see how it compares if that's even possible.

I think the .blog domain names are much better than some of the other new ones I have seen that are available. The only thing to think about is the registration fees and the renewals for them but aside from those they might be a good choice if you can get a good one.

I was thinking about doing that to see how good it is compared to my other one.

Me too. Some of the other new ones are too silly or just not understandable for a good use.

I like the .blog domain extension myself. Sooner or later people will get used to seeing all the new extensions so I don't think the extension will really hurt your site in the future if you use one of them as much as it would have in the past.

I would say that for the most part it will let people know that but sometime people use an extension just because they want a good name. Like how sometime people use the .org and it's not for any kind of organization.

I agree with you on that. I have seen a lot of new domain extensions that are being used by many websites so they are gaining momentum and popularity.

I have been thinking about getting a .blog domain but I have kept putting it off because I didn't know how well they would be. A couple that I was thinking about have already been registered so they are probably going fast so don't put it off if there is one that you really want.
