What is the best time to send marketing emails?

Good question! I'm not sure of the inner workings of email filters but im sure they use some sort of background check to verify is the sender email has spam activity history. Still, I'd appreciate more insights on the matter from people who know their stuff.

I was just reading about this a few days ago and early in the morning is supposed to be a good time to send them in general. Before people wake up to go to work so they are in their inbox when they first check their emails.

It depends on who you are sending the emails to in a small degree. What I would do is to do some kind of A-B testing and try different times to see what kind of success you are getting.

Maybe go 30 days at one time frame and then try a different time frame to see if there is an improvement or not. Then make adjustments according to your results.

It might take a while but you will be able to fine tune your campaigns for better success and then you will have gained the knowledge as well.

In order to determine the best time to send your marketing emails you would first have to try to find out when your subscribers are most likely to be checking their emails.

It's probably going to be harder to find that out but if you know the general age group, sex and some other key factors then you can try to use those facts and search Google for age group, sex and other factors best mailing times.

I have never been an email marketer but a buddy of mine used to be real big into it and he said that he used to send his in the 5-6am range for the best responses and open rates.

I think it was because the email was fresh into their inbox when they get up in the mornings.

Depending if your subscribers liked your previous email content, I think there's no best time to send emails. If you're already a hit with your subscribers, when they see your name in the FROM box, they probably dont even look at the subject line as they're eager to read the latest from you.

With the timezone differences and whether your subscribers choose to reserve a time to tackle all the emails received, as stated previously, there is no specific best time for sending however there is a best time for your subscriber and that's when they find the time to open.

I think best time to send an email is when most person are awake. It can be morning or afternoon. Also consider the person you will be sending your email. If must.

I am more interested in the clicks I think rather than the open rate.

I myself don't have any particular time that I open mine. It's just whenever I have the time to do it.

I think this will be depending on what the age is of your people on your email list. I read some blog posts that say that the morning is the better time for younger people and the evening times are better for older ones.

I think that a big factor in determining what the best time to send marketing emails is would be to know the general time frame that your target audience is or would be reading their emails.

There have been some age group and gender studies that have found that different age groups and genders will read their emails at different times.

What has worked the best for me based on my own studies and people on my lists is to send them is the early hours of the morning, around 4-5am but it can be different for different lists.

I have tried sending them at different times of the day and no matter what time I send them the results are about the same.

I was planning on gathering more data to get a better picture but have not had the time to do it yet.

You probably need to try to gather more data and put it on a spreadsheet to look at the numbers closer. Then maybe you can find something in the information that can help you.

I know I have been needing to do some more data collecting and analysis but I have been too busy these days. I am hoping to get time for these things when I take time off from my job soon.

I think it will also. I just have to figure out what kind of data I need to look at.

As for which day of the week performed best, emails sent on Mondays had the highest ROI, but emails sent on Friday had a higher click-through rate. Ironically, Saturday and Sunday had the lowest volume rates, but the highest open and click-through rates in the study.
Based on these findings, you might want to experiment with sending your emails at unconventional times – such as 11 pm or 6 pm and on the weekend – to see if it yields better results.
