Guest blogging can be good or bad for a site depending on if the sites that you are linking to/from are good, relevant, quality sites and the links are appropriate.

If you are getting links from a bad site then guest blogging can actually harm your site so use caution.

I didn't said that don't use it but use it wisely .
1. Look for the Domains which are having good TF/CF & RD
2. Old Domains with no penalties.
3. Less OBL not more then 8+.
4. Having god ref domains.

Doing a guest post blast is not good .

I've read the article and I still think it's good for SEO, the problem is how we use it properly.
It's like everything follows this same rule: if we abuse something too much, it will be backfire. I remember there is other SEO techniques called PBN and while it's also good for boosting SEO, it seems to have quite great risk.

Guest blogging may be good for your blog. It may ensure steady traffic to your blogs. On the other hand many use this strategy to spam, so be careful. Also if you think you can manage spammers then you could opt for guest blogging. and I think there isn't any difference between paid ones or those ones where you post on someone's blog and he/she posts in return. Definitely, it is good. Who are we kidding here? In fact, it's a major thing in it - along with social media and content creation. However, though, I suppose there are ways we can abuse guest blogging and people on here have already noted that.

Guest blogging is good for seo because it creates backlink. Building backlinks is one of the seo techniques. If you get backlinks your website will ranked higher. High ranked websites means you get organic traffic, traffic from search engines. Traffic and backlinks also imporves your alexa ranking with builds reputation for your website.

That is one of the things that worries me. I am afraid that I might get some kind of penalty with Google and that will hurt my rankings or traffic. I only want to do things that will help and I don't want to risk hurting my blog.
